Barnes and Nobel Booksellers in Jack London Square is hosting a special book fair/Fundraiser for AHC. Click here to download the voucher and shop til you drop. AHC will get a percentage of all merchandise purchased.

Plus! from 2pm - 4:30pm Kokomon Clottey will have special performances, storytelling, and book signing for his book Mindful Drumming: Ancient Wisdom For Unleashing the Human Spirit and Building Community.

Mindful Drumming for
Opening Minds and Healing Hearts

Join Kokomon Clottey, author of Mindful Drumming for an afternoon of joyful drumming. Kokomon will show you how to use the drum as a tool to builf community, increase your creativity, harmonize relationships and heal broken hearts. This gathering is designed to bring diverse groups together to do the heart work that heals separtaion and fear. Participants will learn the healing power of rhythm and sound.

This event supports ArtEsteemsm and arts in the schools.
Donations: $20.00 - Drums are available.

Over 600 people are Making the Dream Real
In Honor of Coretta Scott King and women peace activists at the 9th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. National Holiday Celebration at Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church on Jan 15th , three incredible women were honored with awards, Charlie Mae Davis (Community Leadership), Reverend Elouise Oliver (Spiritual Leadership), Porshia Butler (Youth Service & Leadership). AHC has defines the Federal/National Marint Luther King Jr Day as a day of community service and "a day on, not a day off." Join us in continuing to make the dream real.

ArtEsteemsm is Growing!!!
For the first time ArtEsteemsm, will start serving student in Berkeley, CA at Washington Elementary.
Every year our programs reach new people and this is the first time ArtEsteemsm has stretched beyond the borders of Oakland. Join AHC in Celebrating 2007 as a year of abundance, positivity and growth.

AHC will open our already open doors to the public every day for two weeks.
During this hecktic time of the year when gifts are needed to be bought and the malls are a nightmare, Come to AHC! We will be selling our unique, one of a kind Artwork (Paintings, Jewlery, Prints, Clothing etc.) created by the children and youth in ArtEsteemsm, books on healing and spirutality, t-shirts, CDs, DVDs, and more.

With perfect weather and a gorgeous sunset melting into the bay,

Peoples Community Partnership Federal Credit Union

The ArtEsteemsm Exhibition 2006 was a huge success. Over 18 pieces of art sold,
and AHC has partnered with PCPGCU to create savings accounts for the student artists who artwork sold. Students have earned 25% of the proceeds to start or further their college funds.
