Support Groups
Person to Person Every Tuesday
from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM
Non-judgmental support group for individuals and families
in crisis. This support group is based on the principles of
Attitudinal Healing. It is available for individuals, couples,
and families experiencing problems or relationship difficulties.
The group creates a environment of mutual "teaching and
learning" for all, and is facilitated by trained staff.
Racial Healing Circle Last Wednesday
of each month from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM
Engage in deep dialogue that allows for authentic communication.This
monthly dialogue facilitated by Aeeshah Clottey begins with
a thirty-minute drum meditation. These Circles are for
people who want to join with others in a safe space to explore
through listening and sharing the impact of internalized and
institutionalized racism in their lives and in their communities. The
purpose of these circles are to:
* Acknowledge the pain of racism and its impact in our lives.
* Learn to do the heart work that will heal our ancestral
wounds.
* Look deeply into our fear of the other.
* Utilize ancient spiritual principles as a means to unlearn
attitudes and beliefs about differences that feed conflict.
* Heal the pain that keeps us separate.
Mindful Drumming Last Friday of of every month
from 7:30 to 9:30 PM.
Experience the twin concept of rhythm and sound wave vibration
as a way of meditation. This monthly drumming meditation is
lead by Kokomon Clottey, from Ghana, West Africa.
Mindful drumming comes from the twin concepts of vibration
and rhythm. Through the power of mindful drumming, one can
attain the highest vibration or true happiness. Learn the
art of building community through rhythm and sound. Experience
how this form of meditation helps create rhythmic space that
brings individuals together collectively to journey to a higher
life energy.
Please bring a drum if you have one. We have limited drums
available on a first come basis.
