ArtEsteem created the Art Kit program to keep creativity alive at home for students and families after the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Art Kits have been distributed to the entire student body in dozens of OUSD and SFUSD schools since 2020. This program helps students during the school year with fundamental art supplies and activities that can be done independent of screens and engagement for the entire family.
It’s impossible to talk about Art Kits without mentioning the Activity Guides, as they are inextricably linked! Each of the five Activity Guides invite students to engage with the materials in their kits. They are fun, compelling, accessible and imaginative, and designed to draw students toward wellness, awareness and, of course, learning. The learning content in the Activity Guides are in sync with the seasons and aligned with grade level VAPA and academic standards.
